I like the old style -Just hold the button dwn as long as you need it to blink.
The old 6 dollar flasher will suffice.

Not a fan but then again if we all liked the same thing life would get real boring really fast!!!

Good luck with you're bike. You've got the right crew here.
If you install the badlands unit now you'll be ready to upgrade to some LEDs later.
You can upgrade the headlamps, passing lamps etc to LED without it. Brighter light for sure.

Originally this bike had the Harley module, which provides flashers and hazards, plus time and distance switching, with a white/green wire between speedo and module. This module was introduced in 1989 and came standard on my 1990 FLHS. AFAIK it is no longer available, but Badlands sell several optional replacements.
