Default Renting bike for a day in Phoenix. Route suggestions?

Anybody got a good loop to do just outside Phoenix? Maybe 3-4 hours? Thinking i would rent from noon to noon. Get a ride in afternoon day 1 and morning day 2.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with that area, but maybe purchase a motorcycle specific map of it? I have a number of the Butler maps, and they're a good resource.

Ride on up to Sedona and back. You can go further on up to Flagstaff on 89. Good bike roads. Also, Prescott is a good trip. JG Sales is there. Nice to see their store, if it is a bit small. We had really good pizza in Prescott at a restaurant across from the park where Billy Jack was filmed.

Be warned, though, that Sedona is crawling with post-menopausal women carrying small bags of rocks. Prescott is also Ruger HQ. Boom Stick City.

Here are 2 routes.
1.) Phoenix to Wickenburg on Hwy 60, tthen take 93 north a couple of miles to the 89 north to Prescott. If you stay in Prescott there is a nice old hotel across the steet from the court house square. Lots of places around town for food and cocktails. If you are up for it you can head up to Sedona, but there is snow up that way right now. Or you can head back to Phoenix on Hwy 17 (the slab), or double back the way you came if you would rather stay on 2 lane roads.
2.) Head south out of Phoenix to Tuson (on 10), south to Tumbstone (on 80), then south to Bisbee (on 80) (cool old town with nice old hotel) then east to Douglas (on 80), north to Safford (191, 10, 191), north (70) to Globe, then west to Phoenix on the 60.

If you are coming later in the year then I would take some of the roads in the higher country, but as I said there is snow up there right now with another storm commin in Wed. Thur.

Route #1 proposed by BB N.8 is one of the best day trip. Highly recommend. Then, make your way out to Cave Creek on the way back and spend some time at the Hide Away bar and grill for a cold one and music. Have fun.

Great plan BB.No8!
One thing we enjoyed, the ride up mountain to Yarnell, AZ. The Ranch House Restaurant. It's always good just sitting on the porch watching admiring the beauty of nature. The meals were good and plenty. Staff always treated us like family.
There was fuel station close by also. I haven't been up that direction for a few years, before that it was every other weekend. You may want to check the hours of operation or just get directions, here ya go.. Ranch House Restaurant 23225 Broadway, Yarnell, AZ 85362. +1 928-427-6522.
FYI: Not sure if things have changed, speed limit is strictly enforced. We noticed plenty of Law Enforcement Officers lying in wait! Good luck, welcome to AZ! Let us hear back from your adventures if you get a chance..
