1994 FXR | Upgrade List
Hi all.
I have a 1994 FXR. I just sold my 2005 Fatboy CVO, so now I have some money to dump into the bike. Years ago, I was going to make this bike a springer bobber, but I've changed my mind. I have some parts that I will be selling from that old idea..but more on that later.
So now I'm thinking of going with the BMC fairing kit.
I also want to do the Ohlins inverted forks, and Brembo braking system. I've been looking online and the inverted fork system is kind of pricey, but I won't spare expense in this build, so I can get exactly what I want. Does anyone have experience with this BMC fairing set up? Is it worth it? It'll run me about $2500 not including the paint. The inverted fork system will probably be around $5,000 unless you all know where I can get a better deal!
Any help and ideas are welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks

So I've called a few bike parts companies..I'm trying to get Ohlins inverted forks, Brembo brakes (full system front and rear), Ohlins rear suspension, wheels, a full fairing set up, and Trac swingarm. I have the cash to buy everything...
I don't know what's up with any of these companies. They do not answer emails, they do not return calls or answer the phone. Kinda pisses me off, and makes me want to open my own business and destroy them all with my superior customer service skills.. It seems to be a common thread with aftermarket dealers..Crappy customer service. I'm just blown away...I have a little over $12K to spend..It's totally burning a hole in my pocket! I want to start the ordering process because I know these things will take forever to get delivered and that will probably be a whole new rant...
Not a way to start a Friday..
rant off...

You know..I actually just got off the phone with Howard at Motorcycle Metal. Good guy. I think he's got me squared away!
I know I need to work on patience, but I'm hoping to have this bike built up by the end of the summer..I'm ready to buy everything and I know what I want..
