87 FLTP.....the UGLY project
#31
I'll take it......PM me with the shipping cost and address to send $$$.
The "NEEDED" parts list so far
Both saddlebag fender struts...the ears are torn off
Rear bumper
Front brake master cylinder and brake lines
FLHS gauge pod...I have the lower piece
FLHS headlight nacelle
Spotlight/blinker bar
1 Spotlight with mounting hardware
Right side handlebar control with cruise control if I can find one
The present plan is to get her on the road and safe for as cheap as possible! I will pound out the dents and straighten the fenders so that they function...they don't have to be pretty, just functional. The fuel tank doesn't leak and clean inside so it will be use with the dents, unless I can get one of those dent removal guys to "practice" on it. The wiring looks decent and I can repair what was hurt the accident. I'm not sure at this point if I can use the bag supports and rear crashbars yet, I need to fix the fender, bumper, and struts before I can tell. It looks like I can straighten the front crashbar, it's scratched up pretty good, but I think it still holds air...haven't checked yet.
She was a running and driving bike till the accident, so I think that I should be able to get her road worthy without any major work. Then hopefully I will be able to have a decent "riding" bike for awhile. If that works out I will start collecting the parts for the rebirth into what's in my head..
That's as far as I got today, have to get ready to head out and won't be back till Saturday
