Default charging system

Hey guys, went for a ride last nite and noticed my volt meter staying at 12V .Pulled over to check led brightness, looked good.Got her home n.p. Performed Dr. Hess' famous sticky on charging system (thanks Doc) Discovered grounded stator.CRAP Had upgraded to oem 32amp 15yrs ago. Question: who's got the best price for a cycle electric kit or any other recommendations? I know I'm at the best place for advice, Thanks in advance,
Don 86FLT

I would never consider anything but CE.... if your Rotor and regulator are ok then get just the stator... here..
https://www.ebay.com/p/Cycle-Electri...33658?thm=1000
It's a Cycle Electric replacement for OEM 29965-81c. I would never use anything but.... Did you know that the CE stators are double wound.. This means that it requires less RPM's to get the same out put at 2000 rpm's of an OEM unit.. This is why even at idle you get decent output... Got that straight from CE...

That is of course if it's for an 86...

I think you'll be happy to see the difference in the quality of the parts when you compare them. The cost is higher but I'm on my 3rd replacement in 14 years, first 2 were OEM. This CE unit hasn't skipped a beat so far ...
