I'm going to need a jack for maintenance tasks. Any thoughts on the Sears Craftsman model? One on craigslist near us for $50.

$50 get it. If it's all there and not abused. If you don't like it sell it for $60. No harm. Jacks can be pricey.

If you can find one get a J&S jack.
It doesn't make a damn bit of sense to buy a bike worth thousands and trust it to the cheapest jack you can find. JMO

. I have been using one for 5-6 years on a lot of bikes almost everyday . Put it on the stops and throw a strap on it....never a problem
