Good luck. Why did you decide on "Alma?"

The name Alma also has several meanings in a variety of languages, and is generally translated to mean that the child "feeds one's soul" or "lifts the spirit".

I am vaguely familiar with it's use as an English name but also aware it is the Spanish word for soul...."mujeres rasgan al alma!" Women tear at the soul.....

It's been over 100 degrees here for the last 4 days, yesterday was 107, so I haven't been real excited to get out there and work on her. In all truth I'm having a hard time getting excited about taking her back apart since I've ridden her, even with the poor handling! Anyhow today was no different (presently 102) but I did get a visit from the big brown truck yesterday and it brought STUFF!! So I decided to bring the tank and fender that I got in the house and went over there condition...there is only so much that pics can tell you. Overall I'm happy with them for the price, everything is pretty much as described, the fender had some tweaks that weren't noted but they straightened out pretty easy so no big deal. Then I got busy and cleaned, compounded, and waxed them in the house on the living room table with the AC on...I covered the table with a thick towel to avoid getting in trouble with the ol'lady....lol. I thought that I saw a bit of blue in the pics and I was right, there's blue metal flake in the paint that's only seen when light hits them. I don't think they came out to bad...at least it will still kinda be one color and not bent up like the tins are now. I also started making the wheel chock.

Nothing like new parts to put pep in your step! I got new hand controls put on mine and wow what difference...now wrestling with the front motor mount. It ain't loose but it's flat as a pancake so I got a new one. Can't wait to see Alma with new tins in place!

Have decided to use the V-Twin 44-0671 bushing kit. Same thing as the Sta-Bo but Nylatron instead of Delrin...can't find anything bad about them so what the hell. Haven't taken her apart yet, and will wait till I get the swingarm parts first. Till then she sits in the driveway and I use her around town...LOL...DAMN she's fast! Know one asked about the dents yet...............Hahahaha.........but I've found a lot of people staring at it.

Nothing new to report on Alma......been doing repairs around the house getting ready for the 100+ days ahead this summer. Haven't even gone for a ride in weeks....maybe tomorrow morning before it hits 103*. Planning on the tear down to start next week, but this time she's coming farther apart and more cleaning is in order also. I hope to have her back together and a reliable rider till we move by mid August to early September.
