The correct part for your transmission should be 35029-94

The -91 part is no longer available

Andrews does not make a main drive gear to replace 35029-94, they only make one to replace 35029-91.

You can use this gear, but you must also use their 5th countershaft gear.

Be careful when removing the gear, don`t drive it out with a hammer, use a puller, the lip on the inside of the case that supports the bearing retaining ring is narrow and easily broken off.

You can make up a puller setup yourself using washers, sockets threaded rod...

In 94- the motor company decided to change gearsets to a "high contact" tooth profile to reduce backlash and noise. Im thinking you are going to have to order the -94 part #. Of course its the more expensive one!

Good advise right there, exactly what I did and no more 5th gear whine.New pulley is now real snug on there with that new drive gear.I also replaced all the bearings and seals in the trans.May have been overkill.

Did mine with the Andrews gears. Follow advice above on removal and install, and you'll be golden.
