Usually when my throw out finger breaks the stack height is low. My slight clutch dragging got cured when I replaced discs .

Tom, think I will pursue new clutch before opening right side.
Thanks. Ken.

THC...adjusted per your suggestion. Shifts quieter and like the zone better...but still have slight drag.New clutch next, before right side.
Thanks. Ken.

Thanks. Ken.
If you're running Harley's SYN3 in the primary drain that and try ATF type F.

Been using AMSoil specific in the primary since bike was new 30k mi ago. And finding neutral was always like soft butter even in morion.
Can still shift to neutral from second while in motion. But not as easy as it did 5k mi ago
Time for a new cable?

You are going to replace the clutch before you bother to check the throwout bearing?

A failed throwout bearing can keep a clutch out of adjustment just like you describe, and it only costs the price of a gasket to look.

When troubleshooting, always check the easy cheap stuff first...
