Default Minor Enhancement

Surprised to see this much corrosion on 6,000 mile stud, over washed & under ridden?

The much favored Torrington & OEM.

The controversial rollers? Hey I know they don't add ponies but l like them.

Plastic or steel, my own experiment & miles will tell.

Spiral locks on JE's. Spirals often loved or loathed.

OEM breather gear required thicker spacer between carb & manifold, sorry, just didn't like S & S hose.

Yes, its home made.

Purchased some cool tools too.

Good quality, American made & works well.

Ended up with 160 PSI when assembled, bit shy of the 165 l anticipated with .030 H/gasket.

New studs front & rear.

OEM & Axtell with S & S

Assembled, cleaned & a few hundred miles, still no leaks, weeps or scorched pistons

I'm no engineer, just an old greaser, but l like the S & S chambers.

The tubs for the new breather set up, though nothing comes out? Just air.

Good looking Bike, and nice work on the motor. I'm curious about the mod's that you made to the motor, are those cylinders Axtel 85"? What Cam are you running? The S&S heads, are they 76 cc or 83 cc?

Thanks BB.No8.
The cylinders are Axtell 85" with flat top pistons 9.5:1
Heads are 82cc chamber volume.
Cam is an Andrews EV13, which is good cruising at 55-65 mph however overall l find it a little underwhelming.
Ignition is Dynatek 2000i.
Carb (E) and manifold are S & S.
I wasn't looking for a massive boost in ponies just a nice improvement.

Thanks Paul, mentally doing ok ... I think ..... You did A great job on that build... Very nice... Believe it or not that extra spacer you used for the carb will actually give you a tad more torque. Nice job man, Ride safe ..
