Not sure what a spinon is but if your talking about the oil filter mount then yes that's the problem.

Anyway, you're trying to put an oil cooler on your bike, right? Why doesn't it fit? Are you trying to put something on the original oil filter SPIN THE F ON mounting point? Like what is called a "sandwich plate"? And the sandwich plate interferes with something? 'Cause otherwise I don't see what your problem is. Put new hoses on it and don't worry about it.

 

As Beemervet said I was over thinking it when I had to google spinon because I wasn't familiar with that term.

Because of where the rear brake reservoir is the adapter plate that attaches to the filter mount (it actually raises the filter about an inch or two) raises the oil filter too much to fit between the break reservoir and the front jug.

When I get around to it I'm gonna relocate the rear brake reservoir so that it's no longer in the way.

 

My point was that you don't need an adapter plate at all. Why are you using one, especially if it doesn't fit?

 

Because I like the hard lines that come off the oil filter mount and don't want to have to get rid of the one that goes from the mount back to the oil tank.
That's the one I would have to delete to simply pipe in the cooler without using the adapter.

I tried one of those too and it didn't fit either.
I ended up making a couple brackets to move the reservoir.
