Everyone: please be safe, stay indoors if possible, be super cautious if you have to drive. We don't want any more pile ups like we saw a few days ago near Ft. Worth.

Global warming my ***!

A set of snow tires is priceless in these situations. Yes, 4WD lets you start easier but does nothing for stopping. Snow tires, though, are fantastic. I have driven over black ice with a built Corolla on snow tires and not known it until I got out of the car in the parking lot and about busted my ***. You can drive over sheet ice on snow tires like you drive in the rain with regular tires.

1 or 2 degrees this morning. 7 1/2 inches of some white looking substance. Pool almost froze over, had to break it up.
You Northern Boys can have this stuff!

They say that here too and when I hear it I think what is everybody supposed to make French toast when it snows

we're East of DFW and got 6" of snow last night with a daytime high today of 12 degrees today. Supposed to drop to 01 degree tonight. haven't seen this kind of cold here since the 70's. But it will be like Spring by the weekend. Hope everything survives the freeze though.
