Default 107 Ultima

Hi all. I (me and my Harley Dealer in Canada) put a 107 in to replace a 97 evo.

I drove the snot out of that engine, and after the summer it began to rattle loud in the top end. We sent it away under warranty and it came back fixed... and STRONGER. I added V&H high output, and it was even stronger.

I continued to drive the snot out of it. It began to misfire. Ultima replaced the ignition free which became defective likely from being too close to the pipes. Made sure we manually set the VOES properly, and it ran like a top.

I beat every supe'd up bike around, including a 2013 CVO Road King that had been altered, and a 113 Harley Screaming Eagle upgrade. I did not race a 129r, but the bike was stupid fast.

Make sure you maintain the engine and you will be happy. I think the engines are great. I estimate I put more than 50,000 kms on it. Alas I sold it to a guy who loves it, and then I bought a 2015 Road Glide Special... which I love, but it sure is slow.

Anyway, i want to replace them. what would you guys recommend as replacement tappets ? i am going to call Jerih today. Jims are wayyy out of my price. Crane are high but i may go with them or screaming eagle ? Jerih doesnt offer a big selection, crane being next after Jims. I dont know if harley even makes SE tappets.

Help me out guys .

Do you happen to remember what part # your system is? Thanks in advance

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. As Texas points out paco hasn't been around for a while, in fact since 2011, so it is unlikely he will reply.

Default Lifters

Johnson Hylift makes almost everyone's roller lifter including Jim's and oem HD. Get a set of forged Johnson lifters as they are stronger than billet lifters and reasonably priced. Good luck.
