Default Starter clutch replacement

Wifey's 98 Heritage starter finally gave out last night. Lately I notice a premature disengagement of the bendix/clutch. It now spins free when you hit the ignition. I have manual and determined I'll need the clutch ***'y but is there ANY other parts recommended to change ? I see the shaft spring and an O-ring in there as well?

Well called around and only one indy had a drive. I tore into the job and had the starter out about 2 hours. My biggest issue was the floor board to get at a primary cover screw and also the nuts for the oil tank. Need to have flexibility of tank to pull out starter.

Finished the job with cleanup in about 5 hrs. Longer then I wanted but HEY first time. Starts like a champ. HMMM only thing is I don't remember seeing the little ball between the solenoid spring and the shaft.

Well it must have stayed up in the end of shaft with grease. I hope....well too late now.
