All I have there is a choke light.

There doesn't seem to be any place for the choke ****.

there is no "choke light".

the dash hold down bolt is hollow and the choke cable comes up thru it, **** attaches to the cable top. later models don't have the choke there.

OK, Thanks,

It looks like a light, but it must be just a "Choke" label.

On my bike, the dash hold down bolt has a acorn nut on it.

When I removed it, I found the bolt is hollow.

I was wondering where the choke **** goes. I looked in the parts manual but was not able to determine where it mounted to.

Thanks again PJB.

That's pretty cool. I commute about 60 miles a day on my '85 FXEF. I've had the bike for 16 years and it even still has the original paint.....badly faded paint. LOL

I always like running across another '84-'86 FX EVO with 4-speed. There just aren't many of them around.

I have another question for you guys:

Does the 1985 FX primary drain plug use a o-ring or a washer as a seal?

I got the primary drain plug kit from Harley and it comes with both. The instructions say to use the same seal your old plug used, but the old plug didn't have a seal.

I seem to remember it using the washer seal, not an O ring. I'll check later.

I believe I've got the washer on mine. Is it the copper washer or plastic?

The kit comes with a plastic washer.
