"I think the EVL-3010 is actually somewhere in between the EV-13 and EV-27, but probably closer to the EV-13. The correlation isn't exact, because the EVL-3010 is symmetrical in the intake and exhaust valve timing (15/39 - 39/15) with a 102 degree lobe center, whereas the EV-13 and EV-27 are not."
The simplest way to guess how a cam will perform is to look at the intake closing. EV13 closes at 31, EV27 closes at 36 and the VT3010 closes at 39. Which means the 3010 makes its best power at a way higher rpm than the EV13 and a little higher than the EV27. Intake closing isn't everything, but I sure like the looks of the Andrews specs better than the V-Thunder cams.

I decided on the EVL-3010 primarily because of the less aggressive ramps, which I thought would keep it quieter (and it is quiet) - but I have noticed that I do have to keep the engine at higher revs and upshift later, or dial back the timing advance, to keep it from knocking... esp when riding two-up. They advertise the 3010 for heavy baggers like Bertha though. Glad I didn't go with the 3020 (which I had also considered)... I'd have to turn 4000 RPM out of the hole to get her moving with that one!
