ya all suck!
the more I look at the FXRs in here the more I want one again!
Since '80 I had 2 Sportys, 3 Shovels, 3 Evo and a Twinkie FXD, but I miss my '92 FXRS the most .
I think I got my ol' lady convinced that she needs to step up to the FXD and I'll find me an old FXRS, FXRT or FXRP to play with.

yup. I love no BS, no frills, good handling, hard running, fast stopping kinda bikes. "Staff car" style. I put over 50K on my FXRS from Sept of '91 to Nov of '94.
I think it would be awesome to have 3 generations of FX in my stable.
I love my Shovel and I'll never get rid of it (my son would disown me), but it does better around town and back roads. 60-65 is her sweet spot.
The Twinkie FXD will run 80-85 all day long just like EVO, but doesn't handle as well as FXR in the tight stuff.
Wifie like the Twinkie, so thats all the exuse I need

Sonny Barger had (has?) an FXRT. Read his book, _Hell's Angel_. It is interesting, from a "watch the accident happen" standpoint if nothing else.

What are you looking for in a FXR ? My brother in law in considering selling his '84 custom pro street FXR. HOK custom paint, Donnie Smith stretched the frame and tank, Kendall Johnson engine, Dellorto carb. It's very nice ;-).

I'll be looking for stock or one with few mods, but nothing exotic ....
I like them "plain Jane" looking, but with good suspension, brakes and maybe stage 1 or 2 kind of mods. And luggage.
My Shovelhead is a bar hopper, I'm building another race bike, so I need something for open road.
