Has anyone seen THIS paint combo before? It's factory 92

In years gone by, HD couldn't make bike fast enough to fill the demand and people were put on waiting lists. I don't know why your brother bought that particular color scheme but maybe it was just because it was available (the bike, I mean). I too lost a brother when I was in the army, to cancer. It's sad, because I barely remember him now.

I realise he's passed and my condolences. But maybe someone bigger than him said something about the color so he realised it was a chick color combo and painted it. Did he buy it new or use? If he bought it used and for the bike itself and not the color with full intentions on painting it, that could explain a lot. Paint's cheaper than new tins or a new bike the color of your choice. Not judging.

Just like pens when I was in the Air Force. We'd fight to get the pink pen because our thought process was that no one would steal it. Turns out everyone would steal the pink pens (with blue or black ink) because they thought no one would steal it from them. Just another perspective/opinion as to why one might want something pink.
If I saw a guy riding a pink bike, I'd not mess with that guy...unless he was my best friend, then game on (Anyone hear of a Boy Named Sue?). A guy riding that bike either 1) really likes pink, 2) is very secure about themselves, and/or 3) has no problem defending themselves against any stupidity that came their way based on something as trivial as motorcycle color.
