Smile Cobra Tri oval slipons

I installed a set of cobra tri ovals on my 95 dresser this week. Thought yall might be interested in a quick review. Had to remove the old klock werks straights, as they were getting a bit scratched and the right side pipe kept coming loose on rides (no matter how many times I tightened clamps). The new pipes were easy to install, came with new clamps and the quality is excellent. Chrome looks about 1/2 inch deep!
First trip around the block with the tri ovals was ok. The pipes sounded a lot deeper than the KW's but flow seemed fine. A bit tinny sounding on the 2 mile ride the night I installed them. Yesterday, I took the bike out for a 50 mile ride on the highways and freeway. After about 20 miles the pipes took on a deep rumble and a great de-acceleration growl. After 40 miles, they were sounding great! The throttle response is excellent with a deep, throaty growl on acceleration. At speeds of 50 to 80 they are quieter than the KW's. and I am able to talk with my lady on the back without yelling.
The pipes are BIG! They are almost 5-1/2" wide x 3" tall where the tips stick out the back under the bags. As I said, the chrome work is excellent and they really are top quality. I like the change in sound and the response and the pipes do look good on the bike. If anyone is considering these for your bike, go for it!!!
