Default 95 EG Ultra Radio question

I removed the tour pack off my 95 EG. Is the electronic unit under the tour pak mounting plate the CB or an amplifier for the radio? I have everything still plugged into it (two quick disconnect) as well as the hot wire & ground but now have no signal to the radio...radio is dead. Is that a necessary electronic piece when putting in an aftermarket radio? Just trying to figure out if that piece is necessary and what it functions as and how I get me radio signal back? Thanks

Under the Tour Pak is the CB but the Intercom uses the CB for power. The radio should still work using the Fairing speakers.
You should check the Fuses. Remember that there are fuses under the side cover on a little panel that are for the CB and intercom.

Make sure that you have the speaker switch on the front to the correct position for the fairing speakers.
