Question 1986 HERITAGE WIRING LOOM question....

I am upgrading my wiring and I purchased this complete wiring loom (I have attached wiring diagram supplied with loom) but am a little confused as to the wiring of the oil sensor switch and neutral switch lamps on the dashboard.
If you have a look at the first page of the wiring diagram you will see the wiring of the lamps (they are the 2 lamps that have no ground connections). On the first lamp to the right is looks like the yellow wire from the oil sensor switch is connected to the positive terminal of the lamp holder and the negative lead from the lamp holder connects to the AUX connection of the 15 Amp circuit breaker.....but would that not short out the positive straight down to ground???
If anyone can clarify this it would be much appreciated.

The other issue is where would I pick up the positive feed for the front headlight as well as the front left and right indicators??

Sorry about the questions but this is the first time I have wired a bike..

Thanks Anthony

As far as connecting the two dash lights that is the way to do it. The way they work is that the ground / circuit is completed thru the sending unit. When pressure activates the the switch ground is interupted and lights will go out. Still looking for an anser on the other. Is there more to this diagram?

Use a volt ohm meter to check each wire as you connect them to insure proper connections looks as though there is some of same color being used for different purposes.

I have to say + 1 on this. My '95 has no plugs or harnesses that I saw when I added +10 apes last year.
