Default Exhaust from 01 springer to 92 FLSTC?

Hello,

My buddy has an 01 springer and he just upgraded to some samsons. He had duals but not true duals. There is a pipe connecting the two. He is selling me that set but I am not sure I can install them on my 92 heritage FLSTC. Has anyone tried this before? Or can it be done?

thanks,
Al

Great! I will probably measure it this weekend and try and bolt it up. Thanks for your input cowboy 51!

Its has a cross over that runs over the shift rod. The rod on the springer is bent to get the left side pipe over it.

I did this over the weekend and headers bolted right up. I drilled the two holes on the left side where it is flatter and modified the bracket the pipes came with. Not sure what kinda pipes they are but I like the way they look. I will post some pics up later. Thanks for the input!

I'd like to see how well this fits also because I have been looking to do this myself. You might want to check out the fullsac dual exhaust thread on here because I believe this works for the exhaust you are looking into.

dwatkins,

If i understand correctly the fullsac conversion is a DIY kit for a dual exhaust correct?

I believe it deletes the crossover pipe on the set that you are talking about. The pipe you said that is connecting the two. Makes them more like true duals if Im reading it correctly.
