Default Help me find a new shield!

It isn't the best drawing, but you get the picture. I need new plexi for my scoot. I also need it 4" shorter than it is.

Anyone recognize the dimensions or what is stamped in the corner? It's 22" tall in the center.

Man I'm fairly certain that shield is obsolete.

Personally I think your best bet is go and get a full windshield kit (the detachable one with the brackets) from Harley.

If you want I'll go and see what number is on the one I just bought.

I know Cee Bailey's can cut one for me, but they are not answering my email.

I am looking at the full deal as well, I just hate to toss this nice hardware.

I hear you man but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Can you just cut the one you have?

Probably, but, it's scratched up pretty good. Looks like SOS pad was used to clean it.

I see on Ronnies, I can buy the complete shield, with hardware, for $220.

I don't know how tall it is though.

You would be amazed at what you can do with varied grits of sandpaper, rubbing compound, polish, and elbow grease. Unless they are really deep scratches it probably could be saved, just would take some work.

Take a look at Long Ride Shields. Jam436 just put a recurve shield from them on his hardware, Might be worth a looksee.

I'm removing it in a minute. I have the scratch remover someone recommended on here and I'm going to take a shot.

Stay tuned.

I'm 99.99% sure the one you see in the parts catalog is discontinued.

The one I have I got through the Harley parts catalogue.
It is like Harleys version of drag specialties. Just mostly shiny stuff.

It is part number 58275-95. It comes with an 18" windshield.
On the silver lining side your windshield bag should fit it better.

Oh and by the way I took Tina out for a 204 mile ride and you should see all the pretty colors left by the bugs I killed. Kinda psychedelic actually.

I just took a look and one in there looks just like what TD is looking for.
