Default Pic of Wheel Bearing

Front wheel bearings 1994 Dyna with 28,000 miles. No problems, just routine maintenance. The grease looked "dark".

I can not feel anything when dragging my fingernail across the rollers (or the races in the wheel).

Tell me what you guys think about that shine to the rollers. No pitting, no rough spots, no grooves, no excessive endplay.

I cleaned and greased em and put back in service. Thanks, YD

They look exactly the same as my rear ones that i just pulled, cleaned, re-greased and put back in.

They are fine and will last years provided you repack them every time you change a tyre basically.

If the end play is within limits and doesn't change as you check it on various points on the wheel then they are good to go. Mine have 38K from new on the rear and they are fine but the fronts got changed when I put the 16" wheel on as they were totally buggered.

It's not (that much) about how it looks. It's about how it feels. Clean it, put it in the race, press down, turn. Is it perfectly smooth? If so, you're OK.
