Default Identifying after market add-ons on a 1994 FLHTCU. Newbie question alert.

Hey everyone, I just purchased a 1994 FLHTCU with 56,054 miles (500 more than when I got it two weeks ago), and am trying to get a list of any upgrades that may have been put on over the years. The bike had a new rear tire put on last Fall, and the had the clutch, stator, and inner and outer gaskets replaced over the winter.

I went through some of the forums, and I will be heading down to my local dealer to have them pull a history report (great idea that), and will be taking some closer hi-res shots as I go through. Any other suggestions from anyone as to any specific items to look for? Any suggestions on items to inspect / check?

Thanks in advance. I chose the EVO over the newer bikes based on the fact that I hope to do much of the work / upgrades myself as I can, and I also really love this color scheme.

Talk soon.

Nice look removing the disc covers. Draws a bit of attention to the front! What year is yours?

1996, and I just got it last August, and I remove everything that was added on even the trailer towing package.
Is yours fuel injected? If so, you may need to change the fuel filter that is inside the fuel tank. Mine was almost plugged and after changing the fuel filter, it runs very good.

The guys at the dealerships (stealerships) will tell you that it don't fit. Cutting a tab, 're-welding a tab here or there will make most stuff fit. You just gotta learn to finesse stuff and make it fit. I'm still learning.
Welcome!

That's a pretty bike. I remember that color scheme very well. One of the nicer paint schemes from that era.

If your bike has **** for acceleration in 5th gear you still have the stock cam.

You may be surprised that it wasn't used to going to the dealer for anything and they may not have any info to help you on it. As for add-ons, you got plenty.
All the chrome rails on top of everything are add-ons. As are the ones on the covers and tour pack rear section. Chrome disk covers, headlight visors, oil pump area cover, Glo-rails on the bags, windshield bags and rear floorboard covers to start you off.
Basically do a once over on all major maintenance items in the manual. If you don't have a manual, that is the first thing to get.
