TrueTrack S/Arm Pinion fitting.

Hi Guys,Rebuild of my old 91 Ultra begins! I have pressed in the True Track S/Arm Pinion (correctly as per instructions) and I am about to refit the complete S/Arm assembly to the frame. I notice that when I try to fit the S./A assembly between the 2 Rubber Mounts that it wont fit and is approx. 1/8" on each side oversize.
Do I have to force it in somehow.?
Also the new True Track Pinion has 2 "bushes",a large one at one end
& a smaller one at the other. Didnt get instructions with Pivot Kit and Im hoping to get advice on here first rather than contact TrueTrack .

Oh the pressure! :icon_mrgreen:

Hi Bungo and pleased to hear that things are on the move. When I installed my kit, some years ago, I did so with the rear rubber mounting bushes removed from the frame (I actually replaced them with new T-T ones). So I installed the bushes in the s/a, offered that up to the rear of the gearbox and fitted the rear mounts, then installed the spindle/axle and tightened everything up. At least that is what I recall in the haze of my aging memory! Together we can do this.... :icon_smash:

Hi nyokie, I already have that info. It doesnt describe the set up for the 2 bushes (different sizes) which are on each end of the Pivot.
Why 2 different sizes ie.thickness.

Sorted! I forgot that the 2 Mounts for the S/Arm can be adjusted.
Slackened both sides and S/Arm fitted perfectly.
2 new "biscuits"? (rubber mounts) also fitted.
Just going to search for a "lost" spacer for the rear wheel.
3 Spacers for rear wheel if I remember correctly.
1 on Disc side & 2 on belt drive side.??

Hi THC, that seems to be correct.
Because I havent been wrenching the old Ultra for almost a year my memory is a bit vague about where parts fit.
I have Factory Manual but sometimes I have difficulty seeing what goes where. !!!!

The parts manual or a website such as ronnies Harley is good for that.
They give you exploded views so that you can see what goes where.
