I'd rather ask here
The step son in Austin Tx has a 2012 FLHX street glide that is giving him fits on keeping the battery charged up. He is Not mechanically inclined AT ALL.
If someone knows does this bike have the same kind of connections as our EVO's and the same placement? What searches I have done have not shown me enough info, being a bit generic. If the sticky from Dr. Hess applies well that's great. Is this bike got 2 wires or 3 wires coming out of the stator ???? I haven't found any reference as to what size charging system the bike should have. Thank Y'all for the help WP Update Well we got to Austin and got this 12 SG fixed it seems. The voltage dropping intermittently was within the regulator. Done the testing and then rapped on the regulator with screwdriver handle.Voltage went Stupid Ahh There we go 150 mi test ride All Good Thanks again for the the help finding the info. WP |

I think there was a recall in '12 on regulators on some touring.
You can create an account on Harley's website and plug in the vin and see any open or completed recalls. |
