A little taller handlebar

I'm about to tear the front end off my, 97 FLHT to rebuild the forks, and always wanted a little taller of a handlebar. Does anyone know how much taller of a handlebar I can go without changing the cables and wiring. I'm not looking for apes, just something a little taller. I figure that now it the time if the front end is already apart

I'm not sure about a bagger but I could (and did for a while) put 14" bars on mine with stock cables.

FWIW the 14"s were not comfortable so I went to 16" and they were great.

You could go 10" bars with stock cables and wiring. I installed 12" yaffe's ( they are close to 14") and extended 4" on everything.

Have you tried adjusting your stock bars? They will move up quite a bit at the grips when rotated in the clamps.
