The Evo cam chest never really changed any since it's inception however filter mounting has. The nice thing about the evo is that you can put it where ever you want as long as you have the lines properly connected... Just try to mount it where no rocks have the opportunity to puncture it...

Hey guys, I have early style cam,gear cover . it does have closed area around breather gear on crank case like some one mentioned... and yes earlier softails have different oil filter mounts. So hopefully I will be ok with engine change out. Thanks a lot for info to all members... ttysoon
