I know everyone says its common but I have a similar issue on my 94FLH. Voltage gauge drops to 10v every time I hit the brakes. The head light also dims. I noticed over the weekend that when I had my wideband gauge plugged into my cig lighter socket, my turn signals would not come on and blink properly.

I recommend starting with Tom's suggestion above. Most electrical 'problems' of this type are not electrical but mechanical. The simple act of applying a brake and getting a voltage reduction is most likely down to dirty/oily/loose/corroded contacts. There aren't many such candidates in brake light wiring! Clean, tighten and apply a little dialectric grease. Check every ground, by disconnecting it, cleaning etc. Pull apart multi-pin connectors, carefully, and ditto. This is little different to spring cleaning around the house and dusting the tops of those tall items of furniture! There is bound to be a eureka moment along the way.....

I've had similar problems on my 86.I found weak connections at the mylox connectors. I ended up making solid connections.Keep in mind the anti-dive solenoid valve draws a bit when hitting the brakes.
