new member Hello from Alberta.. just curious about advice on my new 'old' bike 93 evo 22000k about 14000 miles.dont want big inch thx. No big $$$ ..cam,,pistons ,heads,,new gaskets,carb , etc. suggestions welcome keep it basic..slight seepage
Welcome to the forum! Off the top of my head, inner cam bearing they fail and trash the engine also the lifters will do the same thing, do a compression and leak down test, but you are really low mileage, so I wouldn't worry about anything yet, I use Cometic head gaskets and base gaskets for the EVO and I find EVOs like conventional oil and like to seep synthetic oil
The lifters that came in Evo`s through the late 90`s had problems with failure of the rollers.
New OEM lifters are good, also S&S, Johnson Hy Lift. Avoid no name lifters.
The bearing you need is Torrington or Koyo B-138.
Also get rid of the original transmission sprocket and spacer and replace with the upgraded pars (`95 and later), the original front sprocket retaining nut was notorious for coming loose.

My $0.02: Modifying an engine needs to be done with a purpose in mind. It runs fine now, right? What makes you want to change it? What do you want the bike to do after the work that it doesn't do now?
Answer that question, and every other question answers itself. Or at least those answers are way narrowed down.
thx not doing it till winter .see seepage around top end. on my past 08 SG, 2 -RK's highway speed avg.130 k [in american 75-80 mph ?] twin cams.. my 94 rk was cammed ,ported heads different pistons etc..it was great ...traded in for sg ..kick myself for that
