I'm back!
I had to let my brother watch my bike while I've been overseas for 3 years. I finally got my baby back- a '96 FXDS convertible with a few mods. I bought it as a mess a decade ago and it was a winter project upgrading everything. Now I need to get it back up to snuff again. Time to change fluids, new battery, etc. My short little brother put the mids back on, so dealing with getting the forwards hooked back up again. The brake rod didn't make the shipment, so I bought an OEM one and it's 2" too short. Great. I got some hardware on the way to fix that. Got to do fork seals. He forgot to send the thunderheader heat shields, I'll get those next month. Why they were off, no idea. But it's great to be back in the HD family after being out of country for so long.
