Can't physically fit Dynatek 2000i into the nose cone - alignment problem

Hi everyone,

I’m currently installing a Dynatek 200i (all-in-one) ignition on my 1995 Softail (Evolution engine). I’ve run into a physical fitment issue in the nose cone.

My stand-offs in the gear cover are positioned horizontally (3 and 9 o'clock). When I try to seat the 2000i module with the dip switches at the top (12 o'clock) so the mounting slots align with the stand-offs, the thick wire bundle on the back of the module prevents it from sitting flush or rotating into place.

The only way the module seems to physically fit into the cavity is if I rotate it 90 degrees (switches at 3 o'clock), but I know that will throw the timing off. If I try to point the wires toward the exit hole at 6 o'clock, the mounting slots on the module end up vertical, while my stand-offs are horizontal.

Has anyone dealt with this wire clearance issue on a mid-90s Evo? Do I need to "train" the wires to loop differently behind the plate, or am I missing something about how this plate should be clocked? I am using the standard gold rotor cup.

Any tips on cable management inside that tight nose cone cavity would be appreciated. Thanks!

This should be pretty straight forward.
