I'm feeling stupid ....

Alright, you guys helped me before and I need you again.
Have a '93 FLHS, just finished top end gaskets, new cam, bearing, etc. I removed the spark plug wires without labeling anything and I'm not sure which plug connects to which terminal on the coil.
The shop manual is not clear. Duh ..... It looks obvious like the terminal closest connects to the front plug but not sure.
Anyway, any help?

Thanks

i dont think it makes any difference. ofcourse you could hook them up one way and start it then reverse it to see if sounds any better.

I bet Harley uses a wasted spark system so it doesn't matter.

RE: I'm feeling stupid ....

Look at your coil, if there are only two primary wire terminals(the small wires) then you have a dual fire ignition and what hotrod351 said applies.
If there are three primary wire terminals, then you probably have single fire ignition and the bike will run only if the spark plugsare connected to the correct plug terminals on the coil. Come to think of it, what hotrod351 said would apply to this senario as well.
I say you "probably" have single fire ignition with three primary terminals on the coil becauseI imagine itwould be possible to use a single fire coil as a dual fire if it is wired up correctly.
Good luck!

I don't know if it makes a difference, but for what it's worth, my 98, the top wire goes to the front and the bottom goes to the rear.

You can always try it either way.If it backfires real bad swap the wires. It will not hurt a thing no matter what you try.

Dual fire it doesn't matter. If it's a single fire aftermarket, the bottom should be the rear and the top the front.
