I've got a 99 Heritage Springer that currently has SE heads on it (they were on it when I got it). I'm thinking of putting stock heads back on it - I don't need high performance mods to cruise at 50 - 60 mph.
Anyway, I know that the part numbers for the heads I need are 16692-95 and 16696-92A but what are the casting numbers? The heads I see on eBay only list the casting number.
Anybody have any used late-model evo heads? I need the black wrinkle with machined edges on the fins.

Thanks,
I don't have a set here so I can't answer that completely, but any heads for a 93 or up will work. Look for the big holes where the air cleaner backing plate bolts up at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions. (front corner of rear head and rear corner of front head) That will be the "top breather" heads. Bottom breather heads will have a 5/16" hole in those positions.
If it's not leaking oil, I don't think I would make such a swap. You could be opening up a big can of worms. Just hate to see you go through a lot of work and expense.
