Clutches changed over the years. I don't know which one a 92 has. Go by the book, of course, not a youtube.

An impact gun helps getting stuff off A LOT. I've done them with just a giant Chinese adjustable wrench, but the impact gun makes it a whole lot easier. Follow all the directions in the book and you should be OK. If it is over your head, there's no shame in subbing it out to an indy.

Depends on which manual you have. If it's the official Harley version, definitely use the book. If it's not, "good luck" is all I can offer... You'll need the clutch spring compressor either bought or made.

Clutch spring compressor. How would I make one of these?
It looks like just a bolt and something to push the spring plate down.

I think the FXRS has the non-repairable clutch pack. You better sell it to me for $1,000 that way you wont lose all your money. JUST KIDDING, you can make a clutch spring compressor out of a long bolr and an old harley generator end plate, or just go to George's Garage and buy one as they aren't that expensive. Then put an extra plate kevlar clutch kit wit a heavy duty spring and your clutch will do you for all but the most extensive modifications. Hope this helps and enjoy that great ride!!!

Have you tried adjusting it? That may be all it needs.

+6 on the primary chain...A while back I adjusted the primary chain freeplay from 1/4" cold to the factory manual spec of 5/8" to 7/8"" cold.....There was serious rattling from the primary with jerking at low RPM...I put the freeplay adjustment back where I found it at 1/4" cold and everything is what it used to be!!!!

Quiet and no jerking!!!!

I had this same issue on my Fatboy. I adjusted they clutch over the weekend and the feeling has gone away. Plus the clutch feels a lot better now!
