Default Question about exhaust

Wanting to make my 99 ultra classic a little louder than stock. Don't want it obnoxious. Though I like loud, just not on mine that I have to hear it all the time.. But what is the best approach to louder, but with a big bold type rumble?? Complete pipes, slip ons?? What kind??

Bassani DNT mufflers, they are really deep and actually on the quiet side while cruising, but they have a nice bark when hard on the gas. I would start with mufflers, then change the headers to a set of true duals to get rid of the prone to cracking Y pipe on the rear cylinder. The headers will not add anything as far as DB's are concerned, they will however give you the true dual thump having each cylinder firing into its own pipe. Again for headers I would also recommend Bassani and their equal length 'Power Curve' duals.

There's a good video at Revzilla.com for Harley exhausts. There are slipons out there that'll work for sure; the full-exhaust systems probably aren't your best bet, given that you're not interested in making people's ears bleed.
Having said that, I kinda got a thing for fishtails...........
