I was going to do the same thing. I found a guy selling them already decatted on Ebay for $110 shipped. I get to keep mine and his looked good. I don't want to get in trouble linking a non vender. I haven't installed it yet, waiting on a few parts to do everything at once.

I have done a few for friends of mine. I just cut out a section with a grinder, used an air chisel to get all the material out then mig welded back together. It's not that difficult if you have the right tools.

This works well and is easy to do, I also use a flapper wheel to clean and left over from the chisel.

I used a long drill bit & wire wheel attachment to bore mine out. Still have some cat remnants left over cat material that stuck to the side of the pipe wouldn't come off with the wire wheel. I don't have access to a cutter or welder.
I wonder if I hurt any thing leaving the little bit in the pipe will bother anything? It's stuck to the pipe pretty good. I tried beating it out with a chisel & it ain't moving.
