mtnlvr: I know 2 into 1's have a good performance rep but they also have less chance of having the best two-cylinder rumble, in my opinion. I do like a nice sounding bike!

You could do just the slip-ons and probably be OK...but if you spoil your ride just a little more, you can get the air cleaner and the map / download / etc to really get the performance gains along with the sound giving you the best smile for the buck!

RE: Exhaust Pros and Cons
OK, I pulled the trigger tonight and ordered the Vance & Hines Straightshots HS slip-ons with quiet baffles, an SE air cleaner, and a Power Commander. Themufflers are on back order but with a release date oftomorrow, supposedly. Oh, and I'm going to have a black outer primary (a take-off I gotfrom "07Street Bob") put on at the same time. All at my H-D dealer in Elk River, MN. Far from the cheapest way to do it, but I like and respect the people I've met there. And they're a Tuning Center for DynoJet so they like Power Commanders.
