Default 2-1 exhaust drone

Ok fellas, Just wanted to hear your experience. I took off my 2-2 hooker exhaust and put my old python 2-1 exhaust back on. When cruising at a constant rpm I get an exhaust drone. It kind of gets annoying. Is this a common feature of the 2-1 exhaust setups?

Also, and I could be losing my mind, but it seems I get more engine vibration with the 2-1 then I do with the 2-2. Just not quite as "smooth" I guess. Hard to explain, like I said maybe I'm losing my mind. I like the power curve it produces but just wanted to know if this was just part of the exhaust.
I have not had it dyno tuned. Just using a canned map on the PCV.

So, drone, and vibration. Normal?

The drone might be a product of that particular exhaust. I've been running a Supertrapp supermeg on my 06 Ultra for almost 10 years. Its been on everything from a mild 95" build, to the present 120,never had a drone or vibration.

My bet is the canned map isn't doing you any favors, a good tuner with a dyno should be able to settle down that vibration. IMO, canned maps are for those who think close enough is good enough.

Well in this case canned map is close enough for those that can't afford a dyno presently. I don't like the canned maps. Never have. Just don't want to/can't pay for a dyno tune at the moment.

Is this a common feature of the 2-1 exhaust setups? Not in my experience. Like msocko3
I've been running a Supermegs, in my case for 8 years on an S&S 107" with no problems. To reduce the nuisance wear ear plugs - we should all be doing so anyway, to protect our hearing.
