I've got heavy popping on deceleration. Left and right baffles set as others had suggested in other threads but the problem still exists. A shop suggested wrapping the baffles with matting. Any thoughts or has anyone done this?

 

Heavy popping indicates you are running too lean, you have intake/exhaust leaks, or both. Wrapping the baffles will not fix this...The mufflers are not the issue.

 

Leaks were the first thing checked. Nothing leaking.

 

Then your tune is bad...

 

Carbed or injected.? It's lean.... Need to richen it up a bit...
