New to the forum, if anyone knows of anyone trying this let me know. I have an 08 street glide with a full stage one and Vance and Hines true dual big shots. The sound is good but the cans are small. These pipes have a ceramic removable heat shield. My question is if the pipe Diameter is right could I cut them back and add some slip on's. I would have to cut the heat shield back as well and leave enough pipe to mount the slip on's. I'm wondering how this would affect performance if its even possible. I know I'm being "Cheap" just trying to get around buying a whole system for just a look. - Thanks

 

Welcome to the Forum from the Great Mid-West. in theory it should work. You just need to do some measuring to find out.

I don't think that there would be any performance lost or gained.
