Muffler with deep bassy sound for breakout
Hi all,
just bought my 2012 Fatboy a new take off CVO breakout complete exhaust system from Ebay, I just love how the stock breakout exhaust hanging low on a Fatboy. However, I have searched high and low for a set of muffler that will give me deep low frequency bass sound utilizing stock breakout head pipes, nothing so far. All the popular brands out there seems to give raspy mechanical sound to the system.
I stumbled upon a youtube video showing a breakout with stock head pipes running muffler from a European brand called Penzl-Bikes and I absolutely loves the sound!! However, as everything coming from the europe the price is insane EUR$2000 for a pair of muffler, so nope, can't afford it... Here is the link to the clip,
Can anybody tell me what slip on muffler will give me the sound I am looking for?
TIA!!

Sounds like you may be interested in a setup similar to mine. I have V&H 3 1/4" (I think), slipons with baffles removed and DK Custom thunder torque inserts (TTI's) installed. Removing baffles makes your machine loud, of course, but imparts that hollow, ringy resonance which is a characteristic of removing baffles. The TTI's not only make your bike work better but lower the tone and remove that irritating resonance.
TTI's are cheap, installation is easy and you can reverse the process if it turns out you don't like the result.

Check out this video:
Also, here another video showing how good even stock exhaust can sound with the TTIs:
They're completely adjustable allowing you to work with them until you hit your personal "sweet spot".
Best mod for your exhaust when comparing results per dollar spent(29.95).
Here is a LINK to our TTIs.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions!
