true dual headers choices

Neither the v&h nor s&s headers you mentioned are true duals. Both have a merged collector before sending exhaust gasses back out into two pipes.
i reckon the S&s power tunes have the advantage over the other two options you've nominated.
v&h and s&s make true dual headers but the 2-1-2 systems work better

What bike ? I just put Samson True Duals on a 2000 Heritage Springer, and they were good. I used the "blemished" option, and saved ~50%. The only problem was that they said it would work with the stock mufflers. They really don't out of the box, but a little cut and fit on the mounts and they worked fine. I had to extend the stock mounting bars 2 " to keep the left side muffler from being too close to the final bend to seal properly. 2" is virtually unnoticeable.

Took the RK out this morning before the temp hit the 100+ mark. Road about 60 miles and was pleased with the true duals and Cobra tuner. Big sounds great, especially when getting on it. For a bone stock engine, with a couple bolt on parts, I’m content with this set up..... fir a while. lol 😉
Did not need to make anymore adjustment to the tuner, I’m good to go on cosmetic change ups now.

I whent from V&H Dresser Duals (true duals) to FM Super Duals (2:1:2). I like that the look of true duals was retained while gaining the benefit of a crossover (x-pipe). The S&S pipe also retains the look. Fit and finish on the FM Super duals was exceptional.
