Changed Propipe to Fatcat

I have a 2003 Fatboy with an 88CI with Andrews 37 cams, and a SE Heavy Breather. I just changed my Propipe to a D&D Fatcat. The difference is much more than expected. My bike is carb'd and I have not put it on the dyno yet but the "butt dyno" says I gained ALOT!!!! :)

Good choice. Pro-pipes are junk and waaaaay over-rated!

I did the same swap on my 09 sg and had the same results.

I went from V&H big radius 2-2 to a Lowcat. The difference in sound and performance were unbelievable, well worth the money.

I went from a pro pipe to the fat cat. Performance wise the fat cat is a lot better but I prefer the sound of the pro pipe,
I wonder what would happen,as far as performance wise , if I put a pro pipe muffler on the fatcat head pipe?

You'd basically have a Pro-pipe. Try a different baffle from D&D.

Just put one on and it is awesome. The sound and extra power is great.

That's all going to depend on what RPM you're running at. At highway speeds, while you're in the seat, the Fatcat is very reasonable. Just don't try riding very close behind someone else that's running one for very long!

Sounds good. My ideal exhaust is quite when I need it to be (cruising, leaving at 5am, ect) and loud as hell when I want it to be.

Just heard one a while back and thought it was the exhaust that was too loud and I sorta realized the fact that it was 2 feet from a wall probably helped nothing, ha.

Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread, lol.
