Hey guys, I have a 05 Ultra that I'm getting ready to install exhaust on. I ordered the S&S power tune header and RC Components 4.5" cans. My bike has a stage 1 kit, and I removed the Rinehart true duals setup. The local dealer is telling me that I don't need a tune, but wanted you all's opinion. I sure hope this new system is worth the coin I just dropped on it. Also if any of you have the same setup, let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

 

You will definitely need a tune.

 

I have 3 dealers within 40 miles of me....I called all 3 and all 3 said I won't need a tune. I called another dealer about 100 miles away and they said definitely need a tune lol.

 

if your bike just has a stage 1 download i would definately do a tune

 

So you have a stage one installed and tuned accordingly. You will switch only the exhaust from non OEM to an other non OEM.
Your EMC should be able compensate that.
It will stay in the margin that the EMC can handle. A tune would of course have it fine tuned but It is not that you go from a OEM configuration to a stage one.
