I've always run an S&S E on my Evo and never any issues with several different pipes. Smooth and positive response. I've used Python staggered duals, VH big radius, Bassani RR, RB Racing and now Supertrapp. Of all, sound was the RB with the best top end performance. Supertrapp is quieter but helps the torque come on early and stay late, very versatile and tunable..

Ok guys, really dumb question...I received my OEM pipes (65747-94) from ebay, looking down them I cant see whether they have in-built baffles or not.
I presume they are in-built and are somehow welded in (so would need cutting to take out). Is that right? I was looking for a small screw at the opening to change baffles etc like on my Drag pipes, but perhaps not on these OEM ones. It's not a problem as I want quieter pipes for now but I don't want to put them on and then find I have to take them off again to put some baffle in.
Thanks

Another option, not as quiet as the SuperMeg (or stock) but we did just launch a joint effort with the guys at Lowbrow Customs.
It's a 'Lowbrow by Kerker' 2:1, black, no shields, with an MSRP of $399. Although louder than the SuperMeg, still not as loud as most drag style pipes with no baffles/core.

Hello Gents! Finally got my second set of OEM mufflers (as the first set had in fact been "emptied" of any baffles). I am pretty much all set to take off the Drag Pipes and put my OEM ones on but I know that the Mufflers are a very tight fit on the down pipes. So much so that I think i'm going to have to gently hammer them into position once on the bike.
My concern is that I may damage part of the header bolts if I start banging away at the muffler to get it to fit...but im pretty sure I need to put the header pipes on first.
Any experience out there that can help with how best to make the mufflers fit...should i use WD40? so it slides better and can make sure the bracket is facing the right way to bolt on. Or should I do this all "off" the bike and then fix the complete system in one go?
Thanks gents.
