Default EPA Compliant Vance & Hines Slip ons for M8

I noticed my dealer had some M8 Vance & Hines Slip ons. I asked him if they were EPA compliant, and he said yes, “They are only allowed to sell EPA compliant.”

So, I looked em upmon the Vance & Hines site. As per the attached photo, even though it says for non highway use, it does say they are EPA compliant.

So, has anybody tried these, and if so, how do they sound?

Edit: Here’s a comparison on uTube...and they dont sound much different than stock.

For the 10-16 and the 17-18 FLH, the CAT is in the headpipe and legally-ANY Slip-On muffler is legal as you are not removing or altering any part of the emission control system.

Not according to the warranty rules of HD. It must have the EPA compliance notice on the muffler itself. It isn't just about exhaust gas emissions...in regard to the mufflers themselves, they have to fall below a decibel threshold to gain EPA approval.

strych9; those are two completely different things.
CARB requirements and HD requirements.
CARB does not care about sound, they only care about emissions. The sound requirements are a federal thing, for sound only. Not related to emissions.
The 80 dB drive by standards for vehicles has nothing to do with the EPA. We've been doing this sound stuff for 46 years now, we know all about what is required.
Mufflers that do not have CAT's are not part of the emission control system and therefore their labeling is different than certain year bikes that did have CAT's.
The MotorCo and the dealers warranty is something all completely different that actual CARB/EPA law,
The warranty stuff is the real confusing issue.

So anyone running the Monster Rounds? Can't seem to find many reviews on them. Looking for a deep throaty exhaust note but quiet on the highway with no drone.
