Hey guys, Last weekend I installed a new set of Samson Fishtails on my 2005 Deluxe. After everything is tightened up and positioned, I noticed that the header pipe that crosses thru the engine is extremely close to the jug and the primary case. I cant seem to adjust it further away from either. The heat shield has enough room to maybe squeeze a piece of paper between the shield and the chrome case. This just doesn't seem right to me. Should I be concerned ? The pipes look great and sound amazing however I'm very concerned with heat ....

 

It’s not close to the primary case— it’s close to the **** primary cover. As long as you have clearance, you’re good. Samson has never been known for outstanding fit.
