Default M8 114” w/stock hi flow air cleaner... adding slipons?

Just got a 2018 Fat Bob 114 with the stock hi flow air cleaner. Would love to simply add slipons, but is a fuel tuner required for everything to run efficiently?

The cat is in the header on this bike.

Only interested in EPA approved crap at the moment (S&S Grand National mufflers, Harley Street Tuner.) Would love to skip the Street Tuner if it doesn’t do much and isn’t needed.

Should’ve posted this in the fuel tuner section, my bad.

Ive read more and there seems to be a split on whether or not the Street Tuner is needed/worth it my my setup.

S&S said I wouldn’t need to do a fuel tune with their slipons.
Rinehart said I would need a fuel tune with theirs.
My dealer said I’d need it.

Bottom line is that I just ordered the S&S slipons, Street tuner, and cables. Im tired of overthinking it. Lol

You will be fine - bikes adaptive fuel in ecm will adjust for that. No tuner needed. Dealer wants to sell parts.

Thanks for the info. Rinehart confirmed as well that I didn’t need to purchase the Street Tuner.

Im new to the “newer” features, so I didnt realize the ecm adapts!

I doubt I’ll go past stage 1.

Check out this report on Harley exhaust. Pretty informative and helpful.

Harley Exhaust- How it Works - Myths and Facts

The Thunder Torque Inserts™ give even stock exhaust a great sound by deepening the tone a bit, giving it a throatier growl, really making it sound a like a Harley.

You also get a gain in low and mid range torque with the TTIs.

They can be used with stock exhaust or any aftermarket exhaust.

Check out this video-

Pretty impressive what $29 bucks can do for your sound as well as performance.

LINK to the TTIs.
